Description

Triceratops horridus was the Earth’s first palaeontologist. 67 million years ago, he came across a fossiliferous outcrop and was keen to excavate a number of marvellous ammonites. Triceratops roamed the Earth in a time when ammonites had existed for over 200 million years – it stands to reason he would come across their fossils.

This dinosaur fossil hunter is equipped with a geologist’s tool belt containing a geopick (yes, it’s bright blue just like the legendary brand), a brush for delicate dust removal and a small chisel for careful scraping.

The ammonite-rich rock has been etched in charcoal acrylic. The triceratops is made from teal with an icy mint tummy. His tool belt is a sunset orange with a geopick of bright blue and a brush from dusty pink acrylic. All fine details have been etched and carefully hand-painted.
