Description
The Australian Outback is a beautiful yet harsh environment. The resident creatures have incredible adaptations which help them to survive. During the night moisture condenses on the body of Thorny Devils, which they channel through grooves between their scales into their mouth in the morning. Whilst Spinifex Hopping Mice conserve their internal water balance by recycling fluids rather than weeing!
Each ‘Thorny’ will be unique to you, with a body pattern that will differ from the pictures shown in our product shots. This is because the main parts of his spikey lizard body have been cut from a multi-toned, swirly caramel, white and brown acrylic – making him very special. All Devils have a creamy tummy, black inset eyes and etched, hand-painted thorns.
‘Hoppy’ the Spinifex Hopping Mouse has been cut from a sunset orange. His tummy and cheeks are an ivory white and his ear is an inset pink. He steers Thorny with mint coloured reins.
