Description
Ammonites were prehistoric ocean dwellers closely related to the octopus, squid, cuttlefish and nautiluses. They lived through the Jurassic to the Cretaceous periods, spanning a timeframe of 140 million years!
Sadly, it was “good night” to the ammonites during the mass extinction event at the end of the Cretaceous – that same meteorite impact that wiped out our beloved dinosaurs.
Our “living” laser cut acrylic ammonite has swirly blue tentacles and a sparkly orange shell. The fine details of the spiral shell have been etched and hand painted. The eye is inset and painted too.
