Echidnas are on the move at this time of the year in Central Victoria. Some say it’s breeding season; although we know that these echidna families are busy decorating their burrows for the festive season.
You can wear this chipper fellow all year round, although he’s particularly fond of parties and earning gold stars. We also have discovered that he looks amazing when double-brooched with a Christmas Tree.
This joyous echidna is made from sparkly, swirly brown acrylic, with etched and hand-painted spines. The eye is inset into a light brown face, which matches the tummy and legs. The decorative star is from glittery gold with a ripple turquoise bow.

This echidna is simply delightful! I didn’t know I needed an echidna brooch until Quetzy made this 🙂 The teeny bow and sparkly star detail are so sweet! Looking forward to wearing this with a Christmas tree brooch (that needs a gold star on top of course!) and as a standalone piece.
